Pineto, city to live

Pineto is a smiling city on Adriatic sea, among breathless landscapes with many facets. Few people knows that Pineto isn't born as a bathing city as it's grown after 1930. Before Mutignano was the main town council nearest the most important city: Atri.

 For many years the only residential settlement was the Luigi Filiani'summer house, founding father of Pineto.

Luigi Filiani exaclty started the economic, turist and social development of the Mutignano's coast (since 1930 Mutignano became village of the Pineto town council). This development wasn't about construction of hotels, residences, services, ect. After a disput with Mutignano's mayor Luigi Filiani got the rent for 25 years of the coast, freeing it from cement and deploying a green pinewood.

The historic pinewood is one of the most important attractives in Pineto. It extends along 4 km costing the golden beach and it's the feature that makes Pineto unique. The nearest cities (Roseto, Silvi Marina, etc..) have built a lot, penalizing their nature.

Pineto has got also a limpid and low sea where the children can safely play. This sea is moreover very good for walking (muscle and heart therapy) and fishing.

Another Pineto's feature: the Cerrano Tower. It represents surely the most imposing coastal fortress of Abruzzo region. It was built in the 14 century with the only aim to rise an  observation point to defend from bloody barbarian incursions coming from the sea.
